MILLERS DOWN HAWKS TO SECURE VITAL WIN
PITCHING-IN ISTHMIAN LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
CRAY VALLEY (PM) 3 WHITEHAWK 0 - 18 APRIL 2025 - ATT 328
Goals: CV - Vigor 11, Oshilaja 30, 48
The Millers consolidated their play off position with a comfortable victory over the Hawks at the Artic Stadium. Valley opened the scoring with their first meaningful attack of the game in the 11th minute. Adam Coombes saw his low shot from the angle stopped on the line by the defender but Matty Vigor was on hand to stab the ball home. The Hawks rarely threatened and Valley extended their lead on the half hour as skipper Kiki Oshilaja finished from close range controlling the ball well to swivel and prod home.
Oshilaja made the game safe three minutes after the interval with his second of the game stabbing home from a corner. Further chances followed, the best being after Matty Vigor found Denzel Gayle with the through ball who played in Tom Beere but he uncharacteristically fired over the top when well placed. Harrison Chamberlain, the Valley keeper, was called into action to make a save in the 88th minute but the game meandered through to the end.
Steve McKimm will be delighted with the result and took the opportunity of utilising all of his substitutions. Whitehawk played like a team who knew they were safe but will take comfort from a good second half to their season following the return of manager Shaun Saunders.

The Preston Perspective
"Whitehawk Whitewashed"
Cray Valley PM 3 - 0 Whitehawk
A crowd of 328 saw the Millers run out comfortable winners with a professional and accomplished performance and a scoreline that in all honesty flattered the visitors somewhat
The sides last met quite early in the season down on the Sussex coast with the spoils yet again going the way of today's visitors, but their run of wins against us was about to come to an end in quite emphatic fashion
Cray Valley were on the front foot from the get go, and there had already been a few chances missed when on the 11th minute Matty Vigor pounced on a loose ball in the box to slot in from close range and open the Millers account
On the half hour mark, skipper Kiki Oshilaja doubled the advantage from equally close range to give the Millers a comfortable position at half time
The gulf in class between the 2 sides was further illustrated shortly after the restart when Kiki tucked in his second of the afternoon , the clock showing 48 minutes and Whitehawk knew they were beaten and they rarely troubled the Millers defence
The final whistle coupled with the news that we'd jumped a place in the table courtesy of play-off rival Dover's defeat at Dartford consolidated our place in the push for a top 5 finish
