The Millers were pegged back after twice taking the lead as honours were shared in West Sussex against in form and play off contenders Chichester City. The point for the Millers saw them move into 4th place, eight points ahead of Chi in 7th both with twelve games to play. Next week sees the Millers travel to 3rd place Horsham who are on 60 points, three ahead, having played one game more.

The Millers took the lead in the 11th minute an excellent worked goal, Kiki Oshilaja with a trademark thrust forward down the middle and his pass played in Marcel Barrington who finished well from ten yards out, slotting low past the keeper Kieran Magee. Chi went close Millers keeper sticking out a hand to deflect a near post effort. From the resulting corner though they equalised on 42 minutes, Charlie Bennett with the header. The Millers re-took the lead on the stroke of half time, a wonder strike from Sonny Black, edge of the box, on the volley giving the keeper no chance.

Second half and chances at both ends, Freddie Parker had a header cleared off the line and at the other end substitute Mo Jammeh header over from close range for Chi. Parker was gain in the action this time being forced wide as he tried to round the keeper and his effort was blocked away for corner. Chi always looked dangerous from set pieces and so it proved when Joe Moore scored in the 85th minute from another corner reacting quickly after the ball had been knocked down. This set up a tense finish as the now customary lengthy added time played out but there was no further scoring and it finished all square.

Interesting footnote: Having gone all season without the need for use of the blood shirt both Freddie Parker and Kiki Oshilaja were required to don fresh shirts during the game.
