New boys Kurtis Cumberbatch and Kenny Aileru were both on target as Valley romped home 4-0 against the Rocks. Despite having six regulars missing from his starting line up, Steve McKimm’s injury hit squad cruised to victory against struggling Bognor and in doing so consolidated their play off place. The home side were quick out of the blocks and were two goals up within 11 minutes with goals from new signing Cumberbatch and Tom Beere. In the 6th minute, after a period of sustained pressure, the ball fell to Cumberbatch on the edge of the box and he calmly placed his shot into the bottom corner past Ryan Hall in the Rocks goal. Five minutes later a clearance from the visitors only found Beere and from 20 yards out his first time low drive gave Hall no chance.

Bogner rallied after the early shock of going two gaols behind but were thwarted by loanee Harrison Chamberlain in the Millers goal who had an excellent game on only his second appearance for the club. After saving two goal bound efforts from Ollie Starkey, just before the interval he pulled off a magnificent world class save from Jasper Mather, which could have been a game changer if scored. Described on X by the club feed " a wonder save from Chamberlain ... Rocks broke on the right, squared inside to Mather who looked to have a tap in, good contact made but the keeper made fantastic ground across his goal to make the save, remains 2-0."

Three minutes after the break debutant Kenny Alieru extended Valley’s lead when he collected a pass from Beere before curling right footed into the top corner. Substitute Adam Coombs wrapped up the scoring in the 90th minute when he latched onto a long clearance by Chamberlain and fired his shot low past Hall.
